Went based on reviews. Wasn’t very impressed. Fried Saimin was a dryer version of chow mein with no flavor. Mochiko chicken tasted good but pieces were small and a little dry. Musubi was heavy on the rice.
Easy to find with GPS. Looks like mostly a take out place. We ate in. Order and pay at the counter (point of sale has tip window), food comes to your table in styrofoam dishes with plastic cutlery and you bus yourself.
Restroom exists but through curtain behind counter.
A smaller space to seats 5 couples. You can get to go! Call in if you do that!
Overall a nice space to sit down if you can steal a seat but people move in and out pretty quickly so if you want to sit just order (because everything comes to Togo anyways) and wait for a seat!
The food was really good! For a good price!
Customer service was amazing! We had to wait to order but she was so sweet and very quick to help!
I don’t know how many times I’ve been here, but it never disappoints. Today I got lucky as they had their today special mix plate which is pictured. Man it was delicious.
This place is just one of the very few Hawai’i plate lunch places I’ll ever frequent here in King County. The simple saimin is also a big hug when you slurp into it!
Only thing I wish this place could do more is open late night and be closer to me lol.
Hawaiian resident here. You can skip this place, the only thing worse than the food was the service. Ordered takeout, walked in and stood there for 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Actually had to yell to the back to get someone to come out. Then a lady comes out and takes my payment in complete silence and leaves me standing there wondering when I'll get my food, if it's ready or not, when it might be. Stood there for a while longer and was handed food.
On to the food. As you can see by the picture the presentation was horrible and the food was not even assembled correctly. A plate lunch should be full, yet you can see the bottom of the container because they skimped a LOT on the rice. The burger patties were hard and overcooked and the gravy was watered down and runny.
I'm not sure how you mess up a loco moco as it's the most basic local dish, but that should give you a good indication about the rest of their menu.
No aloha from staff in and way, which is the most important part.
Not Hawai'i approved.
Love the island flavors! And to know that they have Chamorro items is Bonus!😋 The Chicken Kelaguin Wrap, yum!
The spicy fried Spam Masubi was pretty good a little heavy on the rice but that is ok. The place is mostly catered toward people who do take out. As there are only a couple tables with 2 chairs each. It was good to try once but I don't think I will come here again.
Very friendly service. I walked in and the staff let me know they had a Hawaiian menu along with Chamorro food menu. The rice bowl with pork belly was a delight - pork belly wasn’t oily at all and had a very nice crisp. It also came with their homemade kimchi which had a good kick but wasn’t spicy. Overall would definitely recommend.
Walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile. The whole place felt very inviting, the food came out fast and it was delicious. I had a brief but lovely conversation with the woman at the desk who is very knowledgeable and friendly. …
